Interview with Shakira

Shakira's 'Waka Waka', the official song for World Cup 2010, has become the sound that captures the excitement of the most awaited football event.

Even though the Columbian song, titled 'The Military', was written for soldiers, Shakira has put a new spin to it along with some good old African flavour turning the song into a sensational track.

Waka Waka (This time for Africa) is a song of inspiration for soldiers, in this case the soldiers of the football battlefield, asking them to not let their energy come down, and to keep up with the people's expectations by just believing in themselves.

So here are some lyrics that are probably stuck in the heads of half the people's head followed by the official video:

"Today's your day
I feel it
You paved the way
Believe it

If you get down
Get up Oh oh...
When you get down
Get up eh eh..."
